French Toast Sandwich

French Toast Sandwich

This sandwich is truly underrated and needs to be shown more often. Basically all of your favorite breakfast items.. a bacon, egg and cheese ON french toast. What's not to like? Dip it in syrup.. you won't be disappointed.

Ingredients

- 2 Slices Brioche Bread
- 2 eggs (for french toast mixture)
- 2 eggs (for sandwich)
- 2 slices of bacon
- 2-3 slices cheddar cheese
- Butter for pan
- 1/4 cup milk (oat milk also works)
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp nutmeg

What To Do..

Step 1 - Cut 2 slices of Brioche Bread and set aside. Next take a medium size bowl.. whisk together your 2 eggs, milk, cinnamon and nutmeg.

Step 2- Heat a griddle on medium heat. Start to cook bacon on one side of your griddle. (or cook in oven according to package) Take butter and spread evenly around on other side of the griddle. Dip bread into egg mixture fully and cook until both sides are a golden brown (about 3-4 minutes both sides.) Place aside.

Step 3 - Put butter on the griddle again once bacon and french toast are complete.. scramble 2 eggs and cook fully. Top the eggs with cheese until melted, place bacon on top, then remove all that onto the french toast.

Step 4 - Cut in half & enjoy!

Chef's Notes

- If you like your french toast well done, cook 5-10 minutes longer

- Switch out the cheddar cheese for American cheese

- Switch out the bacon for either sausage, ham or pork roll

- Instead of scrambled eggs, you can do over easy getting a nice yolky drip

- Add in vanilla to egg mixture to give it a little sweetness

Love,
